CHURCH ILLUMINATION UPDATE
Unfortunately the planned lighting up of the church in NHS blue that was due tonight has had to be postponed as the materials have been held up in lockdown limbo and have not arrived in time.
But fear not – the wonderful volunteers who are making this happen will still be up for the task when they finally arrive, and we will update you as soon as we have a confirmed date.
We’ll still all be out at 8pm banging our pots for our wonderful key workers anyhow.
Sorry to disappoint!
All Saints Church is pleased to announce that to acknowledge the last night of ‘Clap for Carers’ our historic church will be illuminated in NHS blue between 9pm and 11pm this Thursday 28th May.
Her Majesty the Queen recently wrote for World Health day that we should thank our healthcare workers for their selfless commitment and diligence during the coronavirus pandemic and we are happy to play our part in showing our appreciation.
This virus has impacted our village community during these difficult months, and we would like to acknowledge the debt that we owe to our key workers and support them at this time.
Thanks go to the volunteers making this happen, and we would love to see any photos you may have of the Church lit up in blue, feel free to share them on our social media.
As the church remains locked, we are publishing the notification online for the future.
